Artist biography: Artist Hermann Fischer-Roloff was born in Hannover in 1917. Hermann studied in Hannover and Munich. From 1958 to 1962 he had a teaching assignment in Hannover. Hermann Fischer-Roloff passed away in Ebenda in 1988. With his work, in which he incorporated expressionist and cubist tendencies of the early 20th century, Fischer-Roloff had a significant influence on the art scene in Hanover after 1945. In addition to participating in international exhibitions, he was regularly represented at the Kunstverein Hannover and the Kestnergesellschaft, and works are in possession of the Sprengelmuseum and the Historisches Museum Hannover.
